Two Philippine boys choirs have won the top prize in their respective category during the recently concluded 5th World Choir Games in Graz City, Austria.
The Las Piñas Boys’ Choir and the Kilyawan Boys’ Choir in Quezon City were declared Champions of Children’s Choirs and Choral Acapella Performers of Contemporary Music, respectively, on Sunday, July 13, during the awarding ceremonies of the choral Olympiad.
They have proved again the Filipino’s innate musicality when they bested peers from more than 30 countries.
The two performing groups competed with numerous groups from South Africa, Indonesia, Japan, China, Russia, Spain, Germany, United States, and the United Kingdom, in a series of competitions in their categories.
